Pirinexus, The adventure of cycling from the Pyrenees to the Costa Brava

The Pirinexus route, with a total of 340 kilometers, travels through a great diversity of landscapes and crosses centuries-old forests, unique volcanoes, natural parks, vineyards and virgin coves.
This circular route will allow you to discover two territories with a lot of history: the Girona regions and Vallespir. You will find historical paths such as those of La Retirada, places that will transport you to the Greek and Roman eras such as the ruins of Empúries, and emblematic cities such as Girona.
Along the route you will find charming hotels, a recognized gastronomic and wine tradition, and services dedicated to cycle tourists.
You will cycle along greenways, forest tracks and roads with little traffic. For this reason, it is advisable to use a hybrid gravel, trekking or similar bicycle. This is an ideal route to do with panniers, at your own pace and enjoying the territory, in two, four or six days.
