Girona Greenways
Greenways are old disused railway lines that have been adapted for walking or cycling. The routes are easy, pleasant, safe, accessible and integrated into the natural environment.
They have their origins in the train tracks that crossed the landscape of the Girona regions, which over time fell into disuse and have now become paths to travel and enjoy the nature and culture of northeastern Catalonia. These routes have not stopped growing since they began to be managed by the Girona Greenways Consortium in 2003.
