The town of Aiguaviva is a flat area irrigated by the Güell River and with small hills. Its inhabitants have traditionally worked in agriculture and cattle farming. This agricultural tradition is reflected in the landscape with fields of crops, surrounded by cork oak and pine tree forests, and the eighty farmhouses, all of which are now inhabited, that are found along the route. The Route of the Farmhouses also reaches the town of Vilablareix, which stands out for its areas of natural interest such as the Can Xapes Forest or the Sant Roc Forest, as well as its three rivers: Güell, Masrocs and Reremús. It also has a strong agricultural tradition.
